The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. is recognized as one of the world’s leading arts institutions. Building on the ideals and legacy of John F. Kennedy, it is a living memorial of impassioned creative expression. In this age of change and challenge, there has never been a greater need for the arts in the United States nor a greater role for the arts to play. The performing arts have an unparalleled power to take on the toughest issues, to show us what’s possible, and to connect us to new ideas, old truths, and to each other. Bruce Mau Design worked closely with Steven Holl Architects to develop the brand identity, wayfinding strategy, signage system, and donor recognition program.
